When the names of avenues, districts and streets belonging to three central counties (Osmangazi, Nilüfer, Yıldırım) of Bursa are analyzed it is seen that all place names are constituted of phrases that have “determinant + determinated” composition. In this study, in total 15.129 data were evaluated and these were divided into four groups as possesive construction, adjectival construction, indefinite adjectival constructions and elliptical structures according to their characteristics. At the end of the study it has been detected that the structures of some place names are defective; thus it has been determined that the names of avenues, districts and streets were formed casually and the rules of Turkish were not observed.<br> Bursa’nın üç merkez ilçesine (Osmangazi, Nilüfer, Yıldırım) ait cadde, mahalle, sokak adları incelendiğinde bütün yer adlarının “tamlayan + tamlanan” yapısında oluşturulan sözcük öbeği görünümü sergilediği görülmektedir. Çalışmada toplam 15.129 veri değerlendirilmiş ve bunlar, gösterdikleri özelliklere göre ad tamlaması, sıfat tamlaması, belirtisiz sıfat tamlaması ve eksiltili yapılar olarak dört gruba ayrılmıştır. İnceleme sonunda kimi yer adlarının yapısının bozuk olduğu belirlenmiş; buradan hareketle cadde, mahalle, sokaklara ad verilirken dikkatsiz davranıldığı, Türkçenin kurallarının gözetilmediği saptanmıştır.
