ADB operations in Uzbekistan support reforms for an inclusive and market-driven economy, focusing on private sector development, reduction of economic and social disparities, and regional cooperation and integration.
 
In June 2019, ADB approved a new country partnership strategy for Uzbekistan covering 2019–2023. This partnership strategy is aligned with the country’s national development strategy. Cumulative loan disbursements to Uzbekistan amount to $4.83 billion.

The bank will promote rural development and improve access to finance for small and medium-sized enterprises, particularly those owned or led by women. Through public–private partnerships, ADB will help create a more conducive environment for private enterprise in Uzbekistan.
